A lot has been going on in the past month. I have been too tired to pick up my phone and blog!! But, I forced myself to get this post going.
This past month I did the following:
Planned and executed TWO company picnics;
Prepped and modeled in my first photoshoot;
Had TWO job interviews including a job shadow with the Vice President, President and the team of a private organization; and
Attended all of these wonderful events like Bachata lessons, fancy dinners and brunch at a French restaurant.
All of this wouldn’t have been so bad if the commute was more manageable -more spread out and not back to back. Each weekend of this month I traveled between 160 and 320 miles. That’s a maximum of 1280 miles added to my car in 30 days. That’s a lot of miles, but I’m happy this month is at an end. I really need to catch up on my finances in order to be ready for the upcoming Holiday shopping season.
I have an interest in performing my pole dancing abilities in front of an audience with pole and non-pole experiences. In any performance – speech; track & field or pole, I get the jitters. I had a good week… I accomplished more than I believed. I workout twice a week. I take two ninety minute classes which involve progressively intense warm ups, workouts, and strength conditioning all prior to learning new material while still practicing the old. I’m mentally and physically stronger. My body can do amazing things, but… Continue reading Pole Progression: Proud Week
I cut my hair!! I went from this: To this: I was so ready for this drastic hair change. After I exhausted my desired hair color options: red, purple, brown, and blonde with a full head of hair; I decided I needed to go short. Before this cut I wore a short tapered hairstyle. This… Continue reading Natural Hair: Drastic Cut
Pole dancing is how I: Mediate. Escape from reality. Unplug from technology. Let my mind run free. My studio is: Where I feel safe. Where I am comfortable. I am not judged. I am supported. I am loved. Pole dancing means many things to me, most importantly I am able to be my true self… Continue reading Pole Fitness: What it means to me…
A few weeks ago I graduated from Level 4 pole dancing to level 5 pole dancing. From each of these levels, I learned more spin; sit; and strength moves to add to my routine. My routine is entirely made up by me – my imagination. The music, my feelings and body determines what it will… Continue reading Pole Fitness: Progression
I love my life. I am alive, I have an amazing support system, and I’m able to try new things. There isn’t much to complain about…yeah, there are a few knicks that could be straightened, but that’s life. I’m at the point where I’m trying to figure out if the corporate world is for me.… Continue reading Living Life to the Fullest
